Katherine Jones received her Master of Social Work degree from the University of South Carolina and her  Bachelor of Science degree from Black Hills State  University in Spearfish, South Dakota. She has over ten years of local experience in the Carolinas specializing in interpersonal relationships.

Katherine has been trained by the Theraplay Institute in Chicago (attachment focused play therapy). She is also trained in Parent Child Interactive Therapy and is a certified Triple P Provider (Positive Parenting Partner). Katherine uses these modalities along with Cognitive Behavior Therapy and other techniques to improve relationships for individuals and families. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and the Theraplay Association.  

Katherine has worked for the Department of Mental Health in the State of South Carolina, as a School Based Therapist, as a Communities in School Site Supervisor, and in more than one psychiatric in-patient facility, providing therapeutic services for individuals, groups and their families. She has spent over six years working intensively with severely emotional disturbed and traumatized children and their families to provide positive changes. Experienced with:
